The Omron CJ1W-SCU32 is a dual-port serial communication module for CJ1 series PLCs, providing flexible connectivity for industrial automation systems requiring interface to serial devices. This module features two independent serial ports: one RS-232C port and one RS-485 port, enabling connection to a wide variety of field devices including barcode scanners, weigh scales, variable frequency drives, and legacy equipment. The RS-232C port supports point-to-point communication with devices such as HMI terminals, programming tools, and serial printers. The RS-485 port supports multi-drop connections for up to 32 devices, ideal for networks of drives, sensors, or other serial-equipped equipment.
