FAQ for CP1W-TS102

What's the advantage of Pt100 vs thermocouple?
Pt100: higher accuracy (±0.3% vs ±0.5%), better stability, no cold junction compensation needed. Thermocouple: wider temperature range, lower cost. Choose Pt100 for precision, thermocouple for high temperature.
What wiring configuration?
2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire Pt100. 3-wire most common (compensates lead resistance). 4-wire highest accuracy. Configure in CX-Programmer.
How accurate is Pt100 measurement?
±0.3% of full scale ±1 digit. For 0-200°C range: approximately ±0.6°C accuracy. Higher accuracy than thermocouple for same temperature range.
What wire should I use?
Use Pt100 extension wire or copper wire. Keep wire resistance balanced for 3-wire configuration. Follow wiring diagram in manual.
