The Omron R88M-1M75030T-S2 is a 750 W, 100 VAC, 3000 rpm member of the 1S-series servo motor family, without a brake. The "1M" prefix denotes the 100 V class; "75030" is 750 W at 3000 rpm; "T" is the standard (non-oil-seal) shaft; "-S2" denotes a smooth shaft without brake.

The 1S family is Omron's compact, low-cost servo motor line for the 1S-series drives. It uses a 17-bit incremental serial encoder, and the motor body has a 50 mm or 80 mm square flange depending on the power rating. The 750 W model is in the 80 mm frame.

The no-brake version is intended for horizontal-axis applications where the load does not need to be held when the servo is de-energised — conveyors, rotary indexers, lead-screw-driven linear axes on horizontal travel. For vertical or Z-axis applications, choose the -BS2 brake version.

The 100 V class is common in Japan and on small 100 V control transformers. In Europe and the Americas, the 200 V class is the standard.

Horizontal-axis duty — conveyors, rotary indexers, lead-screw-driven axes where the load does not need to be held when the servo is off. For vertical / Z-axis applications, use the -BS2 variant, which has a spring-applied 24 VDC brake.
Can I add a brake later?
No — the brake is built into the motor at the factory. If you think you might need a brake, buy the -BS2 version from the start; retrofitting is not possible.
