What is the difference between CJ1W-OD232 and CJ1W-OD231?
OD232 is PNP sourcing (output sources positive voltage to the load), OD231 is NPN sinking (output switches the load to 0 V). Both are 32-point MIL-connector modules in the same 31 mm slot — pick the one that matches your panel's wiring convention.
What wiring harness does the CJ1W-OD232 need?
Any MIL-connector 40-pin harness in the Omron XW2Z family, or a third-party equivalent wired to a 40-pin MIL plug on the module side. The harness is sold separately — the module ships without one.
Does the OD232 detect a short circuit on each output?
Yes. The MIL-connector version of the OD232 has per-point short-circuit detection and a unit-level alarm flag that the CJ CPU can read. A shorted output is shut down individually and does not drop the rest of the bank.
Can I use the OD232 in a 12 VDC system?
Yes.
