What's the difference between E3FA-TN21 and E3FA-TN21 2M?
The 2M suffix marks the pre-wired 2 m cable version, with a 20 m sensing range. The plain E3FA-TN21 uses an M12 connector and is rated 20 m. Pick the 2M set when the cabinet is close and you want a fixed cable; pick the M12 version for longer runs or quick swap-out.
Is E3FA-TN21 2M NPN or PNP?
NPN open collector. The output pulls the signal line down to 0 V when the beam is broken and the sensor is in Dark-ON mode. For a PNP (sourcing) output on the same 20 m range, use the E3FA-TP11 2M with the same emitter and receiver.
What cables or accessories are needed?
Nothing else is required. The set ships as a paired emitter and receiver with a 2 m cable. Mounting brackets for M18 sensors (such as the E39-L98 family) are sold separately. For a 20 m range with a quick-disconnect, use the M12 connector version and a separate M12 lead.
