What is the difference between E3JK-RR11-C and E3JK-RR12-C?
Both are E3JK retro-reflective sensors with the same 7 m range and SPDT relay output. The RR11-C has a 2 m pre-wired PVC cable; the RR12-C has a 5 m cable. Pick RR11-C for the standard cabinet layout and RR12-C when the sensor sits far from the PLC and the longer cable saves a junction box.
What is the maximum sensing distance of E3JK-RR11-C?
0.1 to 7 m with the bundled E39-R1 reflector, or 0.1 to 11 m with the larger E39-R2 reflector. The spec is for an opaque target of 75 mm (E39-R1) or 100 mm (E39-R2) diameter. Smaller or transparent targets will read shorter in the field.
Does the E3JK-RR11-C include a reflector in the box?
Yes. The package includes the E39-R1 36 x 60 mm reflector and the E39-L40 mounting bracket. The sensor itself is the head only - the reflector is what the head aims at across the 7 m gap to detect objects passing between the two.
Can the E3JK-RR11-C switch a 24 VDC PLC input directly?
No - the output is a SPDT mechanical relay, not a transistor. Wire the relay contacts to the PLC input and provide the 24 VDC from the PLC supply. For a DC-only NPN output, look at the E3Z-D61 (diffuse) or E3Z-B61 (retro-reflective) instead.
