Product Overview
The Omron E3JK-RR12-C is a square-body retro-reflective photoelectric sensor with built-in mutual-interference prevention (MSR), manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation ships this sensor from our Xiamen warehouse with a 30-day DOA return window and a datasheet PDF included in the box.
The sensor detects opaque objects at 100 mm to 6 m when used with the supplied E39-R1 reflector, or 100 mm to 10 m with the larger E39-R2. Light source is a red LED at 624 nm. Output is an SPDT relay contact rated 3 A at 250 VAC, selectable Light-ON or Dark-ON. Response time is 20 ms.
Supply is universal 24 to 240 VAC or 24 to 240 VDC. The ABS housing is IP64 and the unit ships pre-wired with a 2 m cable, an E39-L40 mounting bracket and the E39-R1 reflector. For a through-beam sensor at the same 10 m range, pick the E3JK-TR11-C.

What is the difference between E39-R1 and E39-R2 reflectors?
E39-R1 is the small reflector that ships with the E3JK-RR12-C; it gives a 6 m sensing range. E39-R2 is the larger reflector and extends the range to 10 m. Both reflectors work on the same sensor.
Does the E3JK-RR12-C work on 24 VDC and 240 VAC?
Yes. The supply is universal 24 to 240 VAC or 24 to 240 VDC at 50/60 Hz, so the same sensor drops into either a 24 VDC PLC cabinet or a 240 VAC relay panel.
What does the MSR function do?
MSR (mutual-interference prevention) modulates the light pulse so that two E3JK sensors facing the same reflector do not interfere with each other. Up to four sensors can be mounted close together without cross-talk.
Can the relay output drive a contactor directly?
Yes. The SPDT relay is rated 3 A at 250 VAC, which covers most small contactor coils. For a contactor above 3 A or a solenoid with high inrush, route the relay through an interposing relay such as the G2R-2-SND DC24V.
