The element is a single-wire 0.65 mm Type K thermocouple, Class 2 (0.75), grounded junction. The protective tube is SUS304 stainless steel with an M4 thread for panel mounting. Element range is 0 to +300 degC; lead-wire range is 0 to +150 degC.
The lead exits as a glass-covered stainless-steel shielded wire and ends in a Y-type crimp fork lug for an M3.5 screw. Wiring is 2-wire. The probe drops onto any temperature controller with a Type K input from the E5CC, E5EC or E5AC families. For the 2 m lead length variant on the same probe, pick the E52-CA1GTY 2M. It is a Type K (CA) thermocouple. For Pt100 RTD probes on the same E52 family, use the E52-P10GRY (room air) or E52-P10GPY (waterproof).
What controller works with this probe?
Any Omron temperature controller with a Type K input. The E5CC, E5EC, E5AC, E5CN and E5_AN families all accept the two lead wires at the TC terminal block.
What does the CA in the part number mean?
CA = K-type (chromel / alumel). The matching J-type probe uses IC (iron / constantan). The grounded junction is faster than an exposed junction but is not isolated from the sheath.
What is the accuracy of the E52-CA1GTY?
Class 2 (0.75), which is about +/- 2.5 degC or +/- 0.0075 times the reading temperature, whichever is larger. For tighter accuracy, use the Class 1 E52-exclusive family.
