The Omron FJ-S2MG is an FJ-series 2 MP monochrome CCD camera for PC vision systems It is manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation ships this sensor from our Xiamen warehouse with a 30-day DOA return window and a datasheet PDF included in the box.

FAQ for FJ-S2MG

Does the FJ-S2MG include a lens?
No. The FJ-S2MG has a C-mount lens flange and the lens is sold separately. The FZ-LES3 is a common 8 mm focal length lens for typical short-distance inspection. For longer working distances, choose an FZ-LES series lens with the right focal length for the field of view.
What is the difference between FJ-S2MG and FJ-SC2MG?
Both are 2 MP, 1/1.8-inch CCD cameras at 20 fps with Gigabit Ethernet. The FJ-S2MG is monochrome and suited to inspection, alignment, and code reading. The FJ-SC2MG is color and adds color-based sorting and verification. Both use the same FJ-VSG LAN cable and FJ-VSP power / I/O cable.
How is the FJ-S2MG powered?
Two ways. PoE (Power over Ethernet, IEEE 802.3af) from a PoE switch delivers both Ethernet data and power over the FJ-VSG cable at 3.8 W. Or use a separate 11.3 to 13.2 VDC supply on the FJ-VSP cable at 3.2 W. Mixing the two supplies is not supported.
How fast is the FJ-S2MG shutter?
The shutter runs from 25 us to 1 s. For high-speed lines, set a short shutter (under 100 us) and pair with a strobe trigger output to freeze motion. The trigger input accepts external or software trigger over Ethernet, and the external output can be set to strobe or trigger ready.
