What is the difference between G2RV-ST500 and G2RV-ST700?
Both are 6.2 mm slim SPDT relays rated 6 A with Push-In Plus terminals and the same coil voltages. The ST700 has a latching lever (test switch) on top that holds the relay closed manually without energising the coil — useful for test stands and commissioning. The ST500 omits the lever for a slightly lower price, which is the right choice for production panels that never need manual actuation. Coil voltage suffixes are identical (DC24, AC100, AC200, etc.).
Can I replace just the relay, or do I have to replace the whole socket?
Just the relay. The socket (Omron part PYDN-6.2ST-□□□) is a separate piece, and the relay module plugs into it. Pull the failed relay straight out by hand, push a fresh G2RV-ST500 module in. The wiring on the socket terminals does not move. Keep a few spare relay modules in the spares cabinet for fast swap on a service call.
Is the G2RV-ST500 DC24 a solid-state or electromechanical relay?
