Product Overview
The Omron P7SA-10F-ND is a 4-pole relay socket for the G7SA family of safety relays. It is the BASE / HOLDER -- the relay itself, the G7SA-3A1B or G7SA-2A2B, is a separate line item that snaps into the socket. The socket carries the wiring to the relay's coil (A1 / A2) and to its four contact poles (the 11-12 / 13-14 / 21-22 / ... pattern on the terminal block), and adds the panel-side spacing for a 35 mm DIN rail or surface panel mount.
What the -ND suffix means
P7SA sockets carry a -F (screw terminals) or -P (PCB back-mount) terminal style and a trailing letter that signals whether the socket has the action indicator light. The P7SA-10F is the bare socket with no LED; the P7SA-10F-ND (this SKU) adds an LED that lights when the matching G7SA coil is energised -- so service techs can see at a glance whether the safety relay is armed. The -PU suffix means Push-In Plus terminals; this screw-terminal SKU is the original / lower-cost form.
What this socket does NOT do
The socket alone provides no safety function -- it is a passive wiring holder. The safety category (Cat 1, Cat 3, Cat 4 / PL e, SIL 3) is set by the wiring scheme plus the upstream safety controller that drives the coil. The G7SA relay provides the forced-guided contacts that make Cat 4 / PL e with redundancy possible -- match the relay to the channel count (G7SA-3A1B = 3 N/O + 1 N/C, the common pick; G7SA-2A2B = 2 N/O + 2 N/C), both snap into this 10-pin 4-pole socket.
Before ordering
Order the matching G7SA relay at the same time -- this socket is incomplete by itself. Match the relay coil voltage to the cabinet rail: the -ND24 on this SKU is the 24 VDC coil variant with LED; the bare P7SA-10F (no ND suffix) accepts any G7SA coil voltage across the DC range. Seat the G7SA relay into the socket and push the yellow release lever down until it clicks; lift the lever up to remove the relay for bench-side swap-out.
Key Features
- P7SA-series 4-pole relay SOCKET (base / holder, not the relay)
- Holds the G7SA family of safety relays (G7SA-3A1B, G7SA-2A2B, G7SA-5A1B sold separately)
- 10 pins matching the 4-pole G7SA contact pattern (4 NO + 1 NC pairs)
- M3 screw-terminal wiring on the coil and contact sides
- WITH action indicator LED that lights when the G7SA coil is energised
- Yellow / orange release lever on the front for relay swap-out
- 22.5 mm wide on a 35 mm top-hat DIN rail (IEC 60715) or surface mount via M4 holes
- 6 A max per pole / 20 A total per socket / 288 V AC max per cULus rating
- Compatible with the G7SA relay coils from 12 VDC through 110 VDC (the socket is universal; the LED variant is the 24 VDC coil)
- cULus / TUV / VDE / CE / EAC approved
- 60.5 mm height, screw-terminal depth ~83 mm
- SKU: P7SA-10F-ND
- Series: P7SA-10F-ND
- Voltage: 24 VDC
Best-Fit Applications
- DIN-rail socket for a 24 VDC G7SA safety relay inside an emergency-stop and guard-door interlock panel
- Spare-base replacement in safety cabinets where the G7SA relay is treated as a serviceable part
- Socket for the 4-pole G7SA family in machine-safety panels with mixed AC and DC contactor logic
- Indicator-equipped socket for cabinets where the technician needs to see at a glance whether the safety relay is armed
- Spare socket in service stock so a failed G7SA relay can be replaced on the panel without disturbing the wiring
Buying Checklist
- Pick P7SA-10F-ND when you want the 4-pole G7SA socket WITH the action indicator LED on a 24 VDC coil.
- Pick P7SA-10F instead when the indicator LED is unnecessary and the coil voltage varies.
- Pick P7SA-10F-ND-PU for Push-In Plus terminals (no M3 screwdriver) when wiring speed matters.
- Pick P7SA-14F-ND for a 6-pole G7SA socket (the G7SA-5A1B or G7SA-4A2B relay).
- Pick P7SA-10P for the back-mount PCB socket when the socket is hard-wired onto the cabinet's PCB.
- Order the matching G7SA relay in the same order -- the socket alone does nothing.
