Both are adjustable-roller-lever WLCA12-series limit switches with the same 25-89 mm lever adjustment, same R38 roller, same 10 A load rating. The WLCA12-2N-N (this SKU) is the two-circuit / DPDT variant — it has two independent SPDT contact sets, allowing two simultaneous signals (e.g. one to PLC, one to indicator; or two in series for safety interlock). The WLCA12-N is the single-circuit / SPDT variant — only one contact set, allowing one signal.
Is the WLCA12-2N-N suitable for safety interlock applications?
The WLCA12-2N-N is NOT formally safety-rated — it does not have TÜV SÜD or BG certification for Cat 3/PL d or Cat 4/PL e applications. How do I adjust the roller lever length?
Loosen the M4 Allen-head bolt on the lever hub (located where the lever meets the switch head) with a 4 mm hex key. The lever can now slide axially in the hub. Slide to the desired length, measured from the hub center to the roller center — the adjustment range is 25 to 89 mm. Re-tighten the Allen-head bolt to 2.5 N·m torque (do not over-tighten, the bolt is steel but the hub is aluminum and the threads can strip).
Can the WLCA12-2N-N switch DC loads?
Yes — the WLCA12-2N-N is rated for DC loads up to 10 A at 30 VDC (10 A at 250 VAC, 6 A at 250 VAC inductive). The contact material is silver alloy which is suitable for both AC and DC loads. For higher DC voltages (> 30 VDC) the contact arcing becomes more severe and reduces electrical life — at 100 VDC the electrical life drops to ~50,000 operations; at 200 VDC to ~20,000 operations.
