The Omron CJ1W-IA111 is a 16-point AC digital input module for CJ1, CJ2 and NJ-series PLCs, manufactured by Omron Corporation. Each input reads 100 to 120 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, with an allowed range of 85 to 132 VAC and 7 mA typical at 100 VAC. ON threshold is 70 VAC at 4 mA, OFF threshold is 20 VAC at 2 mA. Response is 18 ms ON and 48 ms OFF, with a selectable filter from 0 to 32 ms.

FAQ for CJ1W-IA111

Does the CJ1W-IA111 read 24 VDC signals?
No. The IA111 is an AC input module rated 100-120 VAC. For 24 VDC inputs on the same 16-point body, use the CJ1W-ID211. For 12 VDC inputs, use the CJ1W-ID111.
What response time setting should I use?
The default 8 ms setting works for clean contact-closure signals. For mechanical limit switches in a high-vibration press, set the filter to 16 or 32 ms to debounce the contacts. For electronic sensor inputs, 0 or 0.5 ms gives the fastest response.
Can the CJ1W-IA111 fit on a CJ2 CPU?
Yes. The module sits on the CJ CPU Bus and is compatible with CJ1M, CJ2H, CJ2M, CS1 and NJ-series CPU racks. Use a CJ1W-PA202 or CJ1W-PA205R power supply on the rack.
How many CJ1W-IA111 modules can one CPU control?
Up to 3 units per CJ1W-IC101 I/O Control Unit on a CJ-series Expansion Rack, and as many as the rack physical slots allow on a CJ CPU Rack. Each module uses 1 word (16 bits) of CIO area.
