Both are 25 W CJ-series 100-240 VAC power supplies at 80 mm wide. The PA205R (this SKU) has a RUN output — a relay contact that closes while the CPU is in RUN mode. The PA205C has a replacement-notification function instead, which signals when the PSU is nearing end of service life. Pick PA205R for an external RUN-status lamp or master-enable signal; pick PA205C when the system does predictive maintenance.
How do I wire the RUN output contact?
The RUN terminals are a single SPST-NO relay contact — they have no polarity and are fully isolated from the PSU's internal circuits. Wire them like any small relay: one side to your indicator lamp, downstream device, or PLC input; the other to the supply for that load. Rated 250 VAC 2 A resistive or 24 VDC 2 A.
How many CJ1W I/O units can the CJ1W-PA205R power?
