What is the difference between CJ1W-PD022 and CJ1W-PD025?
Both are 24 VDC input CJ-series PSUs. The PD022 is the slim 27 mm body with 2.0 A at 5 VDC and 0.4 A at 24 VDC (16.6 W combined max). The PD025 is the wider 60 mm body with 5.0 A at 5 VDC and 0.8 A at 24 VDC (25 W combined max) and a wider 19.2-28.8 VDC operating range. Pick the PD022 for a small CJ1M / CJ2 panel with a few I/O cards; pick the PD025 for a deeper CJ2 / CJ1H rack with many ID / OD / AD cards or a CJ1W-NC213 position control unit on the backplane.
Is the 24 VDC service supply on the PD022 isolated?
No. The CJ1W-PD022 service rail shares the same 24 VDC return as the input supply. The same 24 VDC source that feeds the PD022 input terminals is on the service rail. The PD025 has the same non-isolated service rail. For a fully isolated 24 VDC service rail, use a separate S8VK-C06024 or S8VK-C12024 DIN-rail PSU rather than the service output of the CJ1W-PD.
Can the CJ1W-PD022 replace an older CQM1-PA203 24 VDC PSU?
Yes, with the right backplane. The CQM1-PA203 is the CQM1-series 24 VDC PSU. The CJ1W-PD022 is the CJ-series 24 VDC PSU and uses the CJ-series backplane, not the CQM1 backplane. The PD022 is the modern replacement when migrating a CQM1 panel to a CJ1 / CJ1M / CJ2 panel. The electrical output (24 VDC input, 5 VDC + 24 VDC service) is similar but the connector and mounting are CJ-series only.
Does the CJ1W-PD022 have a RUN output contact?
No. The bare CJ1W-PD022 has no RUN contact and no maintenance forecast display. Pick the CJ1W-PA205R for a 25 W AC supply with a SPST-NO RUN contact (250 VAC 2 A resistive), or the CJ1W-PA205C for a 25 W AC supply with a maintenance forecast display. The PD022 is the budget DC-input pick for a small CJ rack where the RUN status is read from the CPU's own status LED or from a CJ1W-IC101 I/O control unit.
