What is the difference between CP1H-XA40DR-A and CP1H-X40DR-A?
Both are CP1H CPUs with 24 DC inputs, 16 outputs, 20K steps and 100 to 240 VAC supply. The XA adds 4 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs at 1/6000 or 1/12000 resolution on the same body. The X is digital only. Pick the XA when the cabinet needs analog and digital on one CPU; pick the X when analog I/O lives on a separate CP1W-AD042.
Does the CP1H-XA40DR-A have built-in Ethernet?
No - the built-in port is USB only for programming. To add Ethernet, fit the CP1W-CIF41 option board in one of the two option-board slots. For EtherNet/IP and tag-data links to NJ / NX controllers, the CIF41 provides the standard FINS / EtherNet/IP stack at 10/100 Mbps. EtherCAT is not supported on the CP1H.
How many CP1W expansion units can the CP1H-XA40DR-A host?
Up to seven CP1W expansion units plus two CJ-series Special I/O or CPU Bus units via the CP1W-EXT01 adapter. Total local I/O is up to 320 points. For most small machines, the seven CP1W slots are enough without the EXT01 adapter.
What programming software does the CP1H-XA40DR-A use?
CX-Programmer 6.1 or later, normally supplied as part of CX-One or CX-One Lite. The project uploads over the USB peripheral port using a standard USB-A to USB-B cable. The same CX-Programmer version supports the CP1L, CP1E and CP2E families on a single install.
