How do I auto-boot a program from the CP1W-ME05M?
Power down the CP1L or CP1H CPU, insert the ME05M cassette into the option-board bay, and set DIP switch SW2 on the front of the CPU to ON. On the next power-up the CPU copies the program from the cassette into internal RAM and runs it. Turn SW2 back OFF so later edits are not overwritten from the cassette.
How long does the CP1W-ME05M keep its data without power?
Around 20 years at 25 C. The EEPROM chip supports around 100,000 write cycles before the cells start to wear out, which is enough for daily recipe swaps for many years. CX-Programmer reads and writes the cassette through the USB or RS-232C port on the front of the CPU.
