What's the difference between the D4BL and the D4NL?
Both are guard-lock safety-door switches with solenoid lock and slow-action contacts. D4BL is die-cast aluminum (heavier, more rugged, 700 N holding force); D4NL is plastic resin (lighter, 1,300 N holding force, more contact variants). Pick D4BL when you need impact resistance, outdoor rating, or metal housing. Pick D4NL when you need higher holding force or more contact flexibility. Both accept the same D4DS-K1/K2/K3/K5 operation keys.
What does "power to unlock" mean on the D4BL-2CRA?
The mechanical lock engages automatically when the operation key inserts into the switch head. The lock is only released when 24 VDC is applied to the solenoid. If power is lost (E-stop, cable break, brownout), the door stays locked and the operator cannot enter the hazard zone until power is restored and the safety controller deliberately releases the lock.
What operation key do I need with the D4BL-2CRA?
A D4DS-series key, ordered separately. Pick D4DS-K1 for horizontal mounting (key slides in from the side), D4DS-K2 for vertical mounting (key inserts from above or below, this SKU's typical pairing), D4DS-K3 for adjustable horizontal mounting, or D4DS-K5 for fully adjustable mounting. The switch itself does not include the key; it must be ordered separately and bolted to the door with the supplied one-way screws.
What's the holding force of the D4BL-2CRA?
