What is the difference between D4NL-4CFG-B and D4NL-4AFG-B?
CFG is power-to-lock - the 24 VDC solenoid must be energised to keep the guard locked. Loss of 24 VDC unlocks the guard. AFG is power-to-unlock - a mechanical spring keeps the guard locked when power is removed; the operator must use the manual release to escape if shut inside. The contact arrangement, holding force, and conduit are identical. Pick CFG when machine stop on power loss is safer; pick AFG when guarding must hold even during a power outage.
What operation key goes with the D4NL-4CFG-B?
The D4DS-K2 resin operation key fits the standard D4NL head. K1, K3, and K5 keys offer different bend angles for tight mounting. The key must be ordered separately - the switch ships without one. Mount the key on the moving guard and the switch on the fixed frame so the key slides straight into the head when the door closes.
