For aluminum or brass target detection in particular, mount the sensor at 50-60 % of the nominal 5 mm to ensure reliable detection across material variations.
What's the difference between E2B-M12KN05 and E2B-M12KS02?
Both are M12 brass inductive sensors with PNP NO output. The E2B-M12KN05-WZ-B1 (this SKU) is non-flush / unshielded (the K in M12KN05 = non-flush) with a 5 mm nominal sensing distance. The E2B-M12KS02-WZ-B1 is shielded / flush (the S in M12KS02 = shielded) with a 2 mm nominal sensing distance.
