Product Overview

The Omron NB7W-TW11B is the cost-optimised NB-S member of the 7-inch NB-series touchscreen family. Pick it when the project only needs Ethernet upload and on-screen diagnostics, and no serial line, USB memory stick, memory card, or battery clock needs to be supported.

The display is the same 7.0-inch WVGA TFT at 800 x 480 with 65,536 colors and a 50,000-hour white LED backlight used across the NB7W family. Project memory is 128 MB, enough for typical NB-Designer pages, recipes, and trends. Power is 24 VDC (-15% / +15%, 20.4 to 27.6 V) at about 6 W.

Around the back, the TW11B has one RJ45 10/100 Base-TX port and one USB-B slave port (for project upload from a PC or PictBridge print). It has no front status LEDs, no COM1 / COM2 serial ports, no USB-A host port, no memory card slot, and no battery-backed clock — those features are on the full TW01B sibling.

Programming uses NB-Designer drag-and-drop. A TW11B project moves to a TW01B without rebuild — just resize the pages and audit for widgets that need the missing COM ports, USB host, or clock. The panel cutout is the 192 x 138 mm NB7W standard, and IP65 holds on the front face only. The slim body is 148 x 202 x 46 mm at about 600 g.

Key Features

  • 7.0-inch widescreen TFT color LCD, 800 x 480 WVGA, 65,536 colors
  • White LED backlight with 50,000-hour half-life
  • 128 MB internal project memory (system included)
  • 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet (1 x RJ45) on the back panel
  • USB-B slave port for NB-Designer project upload and PictBridge print
  • NB-S stripped: no front status LEDs, no COM1 / COM2 serial, no USB-A host, no memory card, no battery clock
  • 24 VDC -15% / +15% (20.4 to 27.6 V) at 6 W max
  • IP65 front panel only (not IP65F or IP67)
  • Slim 148 x 202 x 46 mm body, 192 x 138 mm panel cutout, about 600 g
  • 0 to +50 °C operating temperature
  • NB-Designer drag-and-drop programming (same project as NB3Q / NB5Q / NB7W / NB10W)
  • CE / KC / RCM / UL 61010-2-201 approvals
  • SKU: NB7W-TW11B
  • Series: NB-series programmable terminal (NB-S cost-optimised)

Best-Fit Applications

  • Machine panel that talks to a CJ / CP / CS PLC over Ethernet only
  • Operator screen networked to a SCADA system when the rest of the cabinet is Ethernet-based
  • Skid-mount HMI where Ethernet upload is enough and no serial line is in scope
  • Drop-in replacement for an older NB-TW panel that is being re-scoped to Ethernet-only
  • Small PLC cabinet where the full TW01B is more than the project needs

Buying Checklist

  • Pick the NB7W-TW11B when the build needs the Ethernet port on a 7-inch NB without paying for serial COM ports, USB-A host, memory card, battery clock, or front LEDs.
  • Pick the NB7W-TW00B instead when the build also wants COM1 / COM2 serial ports (TW00B drops the USB host and the battery clock but keeps the two serial lines).
  • Pick the NB7W-TW01B (-V1) for the full-feature panel with USB-A memory stick, memory card, battery clock, and front LEDs.
  • Pick the NB5Q-TW11B when a 5.6-inch QVGA NB-S panel is enough for the build.
  • Pick the NB10W-TW11B for a 10.1-inch NB-S stripped Ethernet-only panel.
  • Confirm the project does not need a USB memory-stick recipe push or a battery clock — the TW11B has neither; if it does, step up to TW01B.

FAQ for NB7W-TW11B

Does the NB7W-TW11B have Ethernet?
Yes. The TW11B carries one 10/100 Base-TX RJ45 port on the back panel. What it explicitly does not carry is the COM1 / COM2 serial ports, the USB-A host port, the SD memory card slot, the battery-backed clock, and the front status LEDs — those are on the TW01B sibling.
Will a TW01B project file load on a TW11B?
Yes — the .nlpx project compiles and runs, but any page that calls on COM1 / COM2 serial, the USB memory stick, the memory card slot, or the battery clock will be silently inactive on the TW11B. Audit the project for those widgets before the swap.
What software programs the NB7W-TW11B?
NB-Designer is the standard programming environment for the whole NB3Q / NB5Q / NB7W / NB10W family. Projects move between screen sizes with a page-resize step — no ladder or ST code change is required.
Can I swap an NB7W-TW11B for a TW01B without re-cutting the panel?
Yes. The TW11B and TW01B share the same 192 x 138 mm NB7W panel cutout, so the swap is mechanical only. Re-audit the project for widgets that need the TW01B's added serial / USB-host / memory-card / battery features before deploying.
