What is the Omron NB7W-TW01B used for?
It is a 7-inch operator touch panel for small to mid-sized Omron PLCs and third-party Modbus devices. The Ethernet port handles TCP/IP traffic to NJ / NJ-series PLCs; the two serial ports handle Host Link or Modbus RTU to CP1 and CJ-series CPUs.
NB7W-TW01B vs NB7W-TW00B — what is the difference?
Ethernet. The TW01B adds a 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet port for TCP/IP and remote HMI access. The TW00B relies on the two serial ports plus USB only and has no Ethernet. Both share the same 7-inch WVGA screen and NB-Designer tool chain.
What software programs the NB7W-TW01B?
NB-Designer, version 1.10 or higher. Projects download to the panel over the rear USB Slave port. The 128 MB internal flash holds both the project file and runtime data such as recipes and alarm logs.
What replaces the NB7W-TW01B?
Production of the original NB7W-TW01B ended on 31 March 2025. Omron's designated replacement is the NB7W-TW01B-V1, the same panel with V1 hardware. The NA series is a different product line programmed in Sysmac Studio and is not a drop-in replacement.
