Does the NB5Q-TW00B have Ethernet?
No. This model has two serial ports (COM1 RS-232C / 422A / 485 and COM2 RS-232C) and two USB ports only. For Ethernet on the same 5.6-inch body, pick the NB5Q-TW01B-V1.
Is the NB5Q-TW00B still in production?
No. The NB5Q series is discontinued by Omron in March 2025. The recommended modern replacement on Sysmac Studio is the NA5-7W001B-V1 (7-inch widescreen, EtherNet/IP, black bezel). Hengyixin Automation continues to ship factory-sealed surplus and new-old-stock units while inventory lasts.
What software programs the NB5Q-TW00B?
NB-Designer from version 1.20. Projects transfer over USB slave, USB host, or the D-Sub serial ports. CX-Designer projects are not compatible with NB-Designer.
NB5Q-TW00B vs NB3Q-TW00B - what is the difference?
The NB5Q is the 5.6-inch QVGA model with two COM ports. The NB3Q is the 3.5-inch QVGA model with one COM port. Both share the same 128 MB memory, NB-Designer platform, and discontinued status. Pick the NB5Q for higher-visibility operator stations and the NB3Q for tight panels.
