Both are NJ301-series Sysmac controllers with the same memory and CPU. The NJ301-1200 supports 8 synchronous motion axes (15 including virtual); the NJ301-1100 supports 4 synchronous axes. For applications that need more than 4 axes, the NJ301-1200 is the right pick.
Can the NJ301-1200 drive 1S-series servo drives?
Yes - the built-in EtherCAT master port talks to R88D-1SN-ECT and R88D-KN-ECT drives directly. The drives expose the CiA 402 profile, and Sysmac Studio's axis setup wizard configures the drive parameters without manual commissioning or DIP switches. The drives expose their parameters via the EtherCAT slave information file so commissioning does not require any drive-side software.
What programming software does the NJ301-1200 use?
Sysmac Studio version 1.0X or later. CX-Programmer and CX-One are not used for the NJ-series.
