No - the TV00 suffix means RS-232C and USB only. For Ethernet and a USB host port, pick the NS8-TV01B-V2. The TV01B adds a 100 Mbps port that talks to NJ / NX PLCs over EtherNet/IP or to other HMIs over UDP / TCP.
What PLCs does the NS8-TV00B-V2 connect to?
Any Omron PLC with an RS-232C port: CP1E, CP1L, CP2E, CP1H, CJ1, CJ2 and NJ series. Use Host Link (SYSWAY) for the older CP1 line, FINS for CJ / NJ, or Modbus RTU for non-Omron PLCs. Serial A is usually the PLC link; Serial B can carry a barcode reader or inverter.
How do I upload a project to the NS8-TV00B-V2?
Connect a USB cable from a PC running CX-Designer to the USB Type-B slave port on the back of the HMI. The USB host port on the TV00B side is not present; only the TV01B has a USB-A host port for memory-stick upload. Upload takes 30-60 seconds for a typical project.
Is the NS8-TV00B-V2 still in production?
The NS-series is in active production. For a newer modern alternative with Sysmac Studio and built-in Ethernet, the NA5-9W001B-V1 is the recommended modern replacement for new machine designs. Existing NS8 installations keep working with the same CX-Designer projects and the same serial cables already in the cabinet.
