The Omron W4S1-05B is a 5-port industrial Ethernet switching hub from the W4S1 family, manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation ships this switch from our Xiamen warehouse with the configuration tool installer and a datasheet PDF included.
The hub ships with five auto-negotiating 10/100 BASE-TX RJ45 ports. Quality of Service (QoS) prioritises EtherNet/IP control data over background traffic, which keeps the deterministic cycle time of the machine network intact when a video or logging stream runs in parallel.

FAQ for W4S1-05B
What is the difference between W4S1-05B and W4S1-05C?
Both are 5-port hubs with EtherNet/IP QoS and failure detection. The W4S1-05B uses the standard Omron power connector. The W4S1-05C uses a different power connector orientation for cabinets with side-mounted wiring ducts. Pick the one whose power connector matches your existing wiring layout.
Does the W4S1-05B need any configuration?
No. The hub is plug-and-play: plug in the 24 VDC supply, land the RJ45 cables, and the LEDs come on. QoS and failure detection are on by default and cannot be tuned from the field. Management is not available.
Is the W4S1-05B suitable for EtherCAT?
No. EtherCAT requires line topology with no store-and-forward delay. The W4S1-05B is for EtherNet/IP and FINS star networks. For EtherCAT, use the NJ501 or NX102 CPU as the master and wire the slaves in daisy-chain.
