What is the difference between NS5-TQ11-V1 and NS5-TQ11-V2?
The -V2 adds the built-in 10/100 Ethernet port for plant-network and SCADA connections. The -V1 is RS-232C only. Both run the same CX-Designer projects and share the same 5.7-inch QVGA TFT color LCD.
Can the NS5-TQ11-V2 connect to a non-Omron PLC?
Yes. The NS5 supports Omron Host Link, FINS, Modbus-RTU master and slave, and Modbus-TCP. Third-party PLC drivers are added through the NS-Designer Smart Active Parts library.
How is the NS5-TQ11-V2 programmed?
Through CX-Designer (part of CX-One) over the USB slave port. The same CX-Designer project can also be loaded from a CompactFlash card or transferred over Ethernet.
