What is the difference between WL-3A100 and WLCA12-2N-N?
Both are WL-series SPDT limit switches. WL-3A100 is the long-life body rated for 30 million mechanical operations and ships with the WLCAL4-2 adjustable rod lever. WLCA12-2N-N is a standard-body SPDT switch with a different lever (roller or rod) and 15 million mechanical operations. For the longest service life in high-cycle applications, pick the WLM long-life WL-3A100.
Can the WL-3A100 directly switch a motor contactor coil?
Yes - the SPDT contacts handle 10 A at 250 VAC, which covers most small contactor coils (typically 5-15 VA pull-in, 1-3 VA sealed). For motors above 1 HP, drive the contactor coil from the WL contacts and let the contactor switch the motor directly.
How do I adjust the lever on the WL-3A100?
Loosen the M5 Allen-head bolt on the lever hub, set the rod length (25-140 mm), and re-tighten to 4.9-5.88 N.m. The lever can be mounted in any of four directions by loosening the four head screws and rotating the head. Make sure the cam hits the lever across the central 90 degree arc, not the end stops.
