Which 3G3MX2 drives does the ECT card fit?
The 3G3AX-MX2-ECT fits every drive in the 3G3MX2 family (single-phase 200 V, three-phase 200 V, and three-phase 400 V models, 0.1 kW to 15 kW). The card is not compatible with the older 3G3MX / 3G3RX drives - those used a different option-slot hardware and pin-out.
Does the card need a separate 24 VDC supply?
No. The 3G3AX-MX2-ECT draws its supply from the host 3G3MX2 drive's internal power. Slide the card into the option slot with the drive powered off, and the card is ready once the MX2 is powered back up. There is no external supply to wire.
How is the drive configured under EtherCAT?
Configure the EtherCAT master (NJ, NX1P, NX102, or third-party) using the ESI file Omron supplies with the card. The master auto-detects the card on the network and exposes the drive's control word, status word, frequency reference, and output frequency as PDOs. The MX2 parameters themselves are configured via CX-Drive or the MX2 keypad, not via EtherCAT.
