The Omron CP1E-E20SDR-A is an E-type basic CPU unit from the CP1E compact PLC family, manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation stocks this controller in Xiamen and ships within 3-5 business days to most Asian, European, and North American ports.

The unit ships with 12 digital inputs (24 VDC, PNP or NPN) and 8 relay outputs (2 A) on a 20-point terminal block. Program capacity is 2K steps and data memory is 2K words. Logic execution is 1.19 microseconds per LD instruction. The only built-in communication port is USB (B-type) for programming.

Supply is 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. The CPU does not take option boards (CP1W-CIF01/11/12-V1/41 do not fit) and does not expand with CP1W expansion units; for expansion, move up to the CP1L-L line. FAQ for CP1E-E20SDR-A

Does the CP1E-E20SDR-A have RS-232C or RS-485?
No. The E-type CPU has USB only for programming. For RS-232C, RS-422A/485 or Ethernet, move up to the CP1L-L or CP1L-M line, which takes a CP1W-CIF01, CP1W-CIF11, CP1W-CIF12-V1 or CP1W-CIF41 option board in the option slot.
Can the CP1E-E20SDR-A expand with CP1W I/O units?
No. The E-type CP1E cannot take CP1W expansion units. The N-type and NA-type CPUs support up to three CP1W expansion units; the L-type CP1L supports one expansion unit up to 60 I/O total.
How is the CP1E-E20SDR-A programmed?
Through the built-in USB port using CX-Programmer from the CX-One suite. Connect a USB-A to USB-B cable from the PC to the CPU and CX-Programmer auto-detects the CPU on the CX-One USB driver.
What is the maximum program size?
2K steps of ladder logic and 2K words of data memory. For larger programs, the CP1E-N30/40/60 supports 8K steps, the CP1L-M supports 10K to 60K steps, and the CP2E supports 8K or 16K steps.
