Both are 20-point CP1W expansion units with 12 DC inputs, but the R1 has 8 relay outputs and the T has 8 NPN transistor outputs. Pick the R1 for solenoid valves, contactor coils, and mixed AC / DC loads. Pick the T for high-cycle DC switching. For PNP outputs, look at the CP1W-20EDT1.
