The Omron CP1W-32ET1 is a 32-point PNP sourcing transistor output expansion unit for the CP1E, CP1L and CP1H PLC families It is manufactured by Omron Corporation. FAQ for CP1W-32ET1

What is the difference between CP1W-32ET and CP1W-32ET1?
Both are 32-point 0.3 A transistor output expansion modules for the CP1 family. The ET is NPN sinking - it switches the negative side to the load. The ET1 is PNP sourcing - it switches the positive side. Pick ET1 when the load expects a positive common; pick ET when the load expects a ground common. Form factor, current draw and response time are otherwise identical.
Does the CP1W-32ET1 need an external 24 VDC supply?
No - the module draws all its logic power from the 5 VDC CP1 I/O bus through the expansion connector. The 24 VDC switched at the outputs comes from the field wiring, not from an internal supply. One expansion cable to the CP1 CPU is all the wiring needed on the bus side.
Can the CP1W-32ET1 be used with a CP1E-N14 or CP1E-N20 CPU?
No - the CP1E N14 and N20 CPUs do not have an expansion connector on the right side, so no CP1W expansion can be attached. Use a CP1E N30 or larger, or a CP1L / CP1H CPU. The CP1E N30 / N40 / N60 and NA20 models all accept CP1W expansion units via the right-side connector.
How is the CP1W-32ET1 wired to the CP1 CPU?
Attach the module to the right side of the CPU using the built-in ribbon connector on the 32ET1 itself - no cable is needed for the first expansion unit. For subsequent units (up to seven total), use the CP1W-CN811 80 cm I/O expansion cable between units. The module mounts to DIN rail and clips into the adjacent module's connector.
