Product Overview

The Omron CP2E-N30DT-D is the network model of the CP2E micro PLC, manufactured by Omron Corporation. What does the N in CP2E-N30DT-D mean?
N is the network model with two built-in Ethernet ports. The S suffix is the standard model without Ethernet. The body, I/O count and program memory are otherwise the same between the two.
Can the two Ethernet ports be used as a switch?
Yes. PORT1A and PORT1B function as an Ethernet switch so the PLC can be daisy-chained into a line topology without an external switch. Both ports support EtherNet/IP, Modbus-TCP and FINS.
Does the CP2E-N30DT-D need a battery?
No, the unit is battery-free for normal operation. Fit an optional CP2W-BAT02 cell only when the real-time clock must hold across a power-down.
