How small a target can the EE-SX676-WR 1M detect?
Down to 0.8 mm opaque at the optical centre. The slot width is 5 mm so the target only needs to block the emitter beam at the centre line. Thin wires and transparent objects will not trigger the sensor.
Can the EE-SX676-WR 1M run on 5 VDC?
Yes. The unit runs on 5 to 24 VDC, so it can sit directly on a 5 V logic supply or a 24 V PLC input. Residual voltage is 0.4 V max at 40 mA load and 0.8 V max at 100 mA load.
What does the WR suffix mean?
WR marks the robot-grade flexible cable. The standard EE-SX676 ships with a PVC cable; the WR variant uses a more flexible conductor bundle for moving-cable carriers on pick-and-place heads and feeders.
How is Dark-ON / Light-ON selected?
By the L terminal. Leave L disconnected for Dark-ON (output ON when the beam is broken). Connect L to +V for Light-ON (output ON when the beam is received). Never connect L to 0 V.
