The NX-AD3603 is a 4-channel voltage analog input unit for the NX-series I/O system. It plugs onto the right side of an NX102, NX1P2, or NJ501 CPU, or onto an NX-EIC202 / NX-ECC202 EtherCAT coupler, and exposes four -10 to +10 V single-ended inputs with 1/8000 (13-bit) resolution. It is the right pick when you need to read bipolar analog signals — a servo drive velocity command, a hydraulic valve positioner, a load-cell amplifier with a ±5 V output, or any sensor that swings both above and below zero — into the NX rack without adding external signal conditioning.

Free-Run refreshing means the module samples independently of the EtherCAT cycle — the most recent sample is what the controller reads, with the freshness stamp in the data header. If you need deterministic sampling aligned to the EtherCAT cycle (for example to drive a synchronized motion control loop), move to the NX-AD3604 which supports Synchronous I/O refresh.

What is the difference between NX-AD3603 and NX-AD3604?
NX-AD3603 is single-ended, 1/8000 resolution, 250 µs/point conversion, Free-Run refresh only. NX-AD3604 is differential, 1/30000 resolution, 10 µs/point conversion, supports selectable Synchronous I/O refresh. Single-ended is adequate for sensors that share a common 0 V near the panel; differential is required when sources are far apart, grounded at different potentials, or you need 1/30000 precision.
Is the NX-AD3603 isolated between input channels?
No. The four inputs share a common 0 V (terminals B1–B4 are linked internally on the single-ended module), and there is no channel-to-channel isolation. There is isolation between the input section and the NX bus (the digital side), but the four analog channels themselves are not isolated from each other. For per-channel isolation you would need external signal isolators or a different module.
What is the conversion time of the NX-AD3603?
250 µs per point, so approximately 1 ms to scan all four channels. This is well within the typical 1–2 ms EtherCAT task period of an NX102 or NJ501 controller.
