Product Overview

The Omron S8VK-T12024 turns a 380–480 VAC plant supply into 24 VDC control power without requiring a separate 230 V feed. It delivers 120 W at 5 A and accepts either a three-phase or two-phase connection; a high-voltage DC feed is also supported. This makes it a practical match for compact machines whose main cabinet supply is 400 or 480 VAC. The 40 mm-wide unit mounts on a standard DIN rail and uses screw terminals.

Why choose the T model?

Choose S8VK-T12024 when high-voltage two- or three-phase power is already available at the panel. The similarly sized S8VK-C12024 and S8VK-G12024 provide the same 24 VDC, 5 A output but need 100–240 VAC single phase. The T model therefore avoids adding a separate lower-voltage AC feed. It also allows a brief 6 A power boost for startup demand. It is not suitable for 208 or 230 VAC because those voltages fall below its allowed input range.

Where it fits

This 120 W size is aimed at modest control loads: a PLC and I/O rack, an HMI, sensors, relay coils, and a small group of other 24 VDC devices. Choose S8VK-T24024 if the total steady load is above 5 A or future expansion would leave too little margin. The larger T models keep the same input approach for cabinets with heavier control loads.

Before ordering

Confirm whether the panel will use the two-phase or three-phase diagram in the Omron manual. A neutral is not required, but protective earth is. Add the normal current of all connected loads and do not treat the temporary boost as continuous capacity. Check the reduced load limit at high temperatures and the mounting space before finalizing the panel layout. Two matching supplies can operate in parallel, but only under the conditions in the datasheet.

Yes. Omron rates the S8VK-T12024 for both two-phase and three-phase 380–480 VAC input. It does not need a neutral; use the designated input terminals and protective earth shown in the manual, with upstream protection selected for the chosen connection before energizing the panel.
