The Omron NB5Q-TW01B-V1 is a 5.6-inch TFT colour touch screen HMI from the NB-V1 series It is manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation ships this HMI panel from Xiamen with the NB-Designer project file on a USB drive included.
The screen is a 5.6-inch TFT colour LCD with 320 x 240 pixels and 65,536 colours, lit by a 50,000-hour white LED backlight. Connectivity is Ethernet TCP/IP, one USB Host port for a USB stick / mouse / keyboard, one USB Slave port for programming, two RS-232C ports, one RS-422A port and one RS-485 port.
The NB series was discontinued in March 2025; the current replacement is the NA5-7W001B-V1. What replaces the NB5Q-TW01B-V1?
The NB5Q-TW01B-V1 is current production. Omron ended production of the original NB5Q-TW01B on 31 March 2025; the -V1 is its designated replacement. The NA series is not the successor to NB - it replaced the older NT/NV generation and runs on Sysmac Studio, so it will not take an existing NB-Designer project.
What software programs the NB5Q-TW01B-V1?
NB-Designer, current version 1.6.7. Projects download to the panel over the USB Slave port on the rear face or over Ethernet. The panel's internal 128 MB flash holds the project and runtime data.
