Product Overview

The Omron NX-AD2203 is a 2-channel current-input analog module from the NX-series slice I/O family, manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation stocks this I/O expansion unit in Xiamen and ships within 3-5 business days to most Asian, European, and North American ports. Specifications on this page were checked against Omron's NX-series I/O System brochure (R183).

The module accepts two 4-20 mA signals on single-ended inputs at a 13-bit (1/8000) resolution. Conversion time is 250 microseconds per channel. The 8-terminal screwless push-in block accepts ferruled or solid wires without a screwdriver.

The unit is 12 mm wide, 100 mm tall, 71 mm deep and 70 g. Power is drawn from the NX bus, no external 24 VDC supply is needed. The module is mounted to the right of an NX102-1000 CPU on a DIN rail. FAQ for NX-AD2203

Does the NX-AD2203 need an external 24 VDC supply?
No. The module draws all of its power from the NX bus through the adjacent NX CPU or communications coupler. Loop power for 2-wire 4-20 mA transmitters still needs an external 24 VDC distribution block.
Can the NX-AD2203 read voltage signals?
No. The NX-AD2203 is current input only at 4-20 mA. For voltage inputs (0 to 10 V, -10 to 10 V or 0 to 5 V), use the NX-AD2603 (2-channel single-ended voltage), the NX-AD2604 (2-channel differential voltage) or the NX-AD3603 (4-channel voltage).
What does the screwless push-in terminal accept?
Solid wire from 0.08 to 1.5 mm squared and stranded wire with a ferrule from 0.08 to 1.0 mm squared. Insert the wire directly; no screwdriver is needed. To release, push a flat-blade screwdriver into the orange slot next to the terminal.
