What is the difference between NX102-9000 and NX102-1000?
Both are Sysmac NX1 modular CPUs with 5 MB program and 33.5 MB variable memory. The NX102-9000 has zero synchronous servo axes and 4 PTP axes. The NX102-1000 adds 2 synchronous servo axes. For a conveyor or logic-only cell with no servo drives, pick the NX102-9000; for a 2-servo pick-and-place cell, pick the NX102-1000.
How many NX I/O slices can I connect to the NX102-9000?
Up to 32 slices on the side bus for 1,024 local I/O points. With an NX-ECC203 EtherCAT coupler added to the network, the total scales to 400 slices and 8,960 I/O points. The HMC-SD291 SD card slot is used for project backup and data logging.
Does the NX102-9000 support motion control?
It supports up to 4 PTP (point-to-point) axes - enough for indexing tables, diverters, and basic positioning. It does not support synchronous interpolated motion, which requires the NX102-1000 or higher. For cam profiles or electronic gearing, move up to the NX102-1100 or NX102-1200.
