Product Overview

The Omron CP1W-8ET1 is an 8-point PNP (sourcing) transistor output expansion unit for CP-series PLCs, manufactured by Omron Corporation. Hengyixin Automation stocks this I/O expansion unit in Xiamen and ships within 3-5 business days to most Asian, European, and North American ports.

Each output handles 0.3 A across a 4.5 to 30 VDC permitted output voltage. OFF/ON delay is 0.1 to 1 ms. The unit pulls 0.075 A from the CP bus at 5 VDC and draws nothing from the 24 V side. There are no inputs on this body.

The 66 x 110 x 50 mm DIN-rail block weighs 250 g and uses screw terminals. It is compatible with any CP1E, CP1L, CP1H or CP2E CPU that accepts CP1W expansion I/O. Does the CP1W-8ET1 have any inputs?
No. It is output-only. For 8 inputs on the same body, use the CP1W-8ER (relay) or CP1W-8ET (NPN output) plus a separate CP1W input expansion unit such as the CP1W-8ED or CP1W-16ED.
What CPUs accept the CP1W-8ET1?
Any CP1E, CP1L, CP1H or CP2E CPU that has the CP1W expansion port. CP1L-L10 / L14 / L20 do not accept expansion I/O. Up to three CP1W expansion units per CP1L-M / CP1L-EM rack.
Does the CP1W-8ET1 need a 24 V supply?
No. The unit pulls all its power from the 5 VDC CP bus. The 24 VDC load supply comes from the terminal screws on the front of the unit and is wired directly to the loads.
What is the difference between CP1W-8ET and CP1W-8ET1?
CP1W-8ET is the NPN (sinking) version. CP1W-8ET1 is the PNP (sourcing) version. The body, dimensions, current consumption and mounting are the same; only the output polarity differs.
